The professional and knowledgeable skipper and the chef will look after you and the family as you travel the islands and lochs and dine on delicious, locally sourced food in the light and spacious saloon. Any cruise on the online calendar can be booked for a family cruise holiday. We can change both the cruise's length and itinerary to suit your requirements.

Activities And Wildlife

Cruise spectacular isles and sea lochs where there are large areas of sheltered waters and remote anchorages that are perfect for waterborne activities. Come aboard to sail; explore wild sea lochs, islands and coastlines; observe the extraordinary Scottish wildlife or just relax and mess about on the water. Each day is as action packed or as relaxing as you please - perfect for recharging the batteries.

A Scottish Cruising Holiday Is Fun And Informal

The west coast of Scotland is rich in sea birds and marine life and you will never forget your sightings of otters, seals, porpoises, basking sharks, orcas and minke whales. We have even seen a humpback whale breach right in front of the boat.

The vessels' tenders are at your disposal and you can go for fabulous mountain and coastal walks, visit the seaside rock pools and view the region's unique shore-side wildlife.

On Seahorse II we have a powerful little crane for launching Seahorse II's tender, two sea kayaks and paddle board. Here there is also plenty of room for your own equipment.

On St Hilda, youngsters and adults love to haul up the main and mizzen sails, set the jib, and learn to tie sailing knots. On St Hilda you will also be able to use our own inflatable sea kayak.

On Gemini Explorer, you will have an exciting insight in to the role she once played as a cruising lifeboat. There is a specially designed viewing deck for wildlife with teak benches for relaxing and a sea kayak for your enjoyment.

On Speideren, you can enjoy the sturdily built rescue ship with two powerful, reliable engines, a mighty hull, deep keel and strong superstructure, and imagine Speideren (which is Norwegian for “Scout”) working the unpredictable waters of the North and Arctic Seas, rescuing and towing many a crippled vessel.

Perfect For A Small Group Of Friends And Family

Our small ships make for a great adventure holiday in Scotland for small groups of friends and families. It is great fun for everyone to shoot lobster pots, fish for the evening meal, kayak, paddleboard, wild swim, dive overboard, hike ashore and examine rock pools.

There are many considerations such as tidal gates, wind direction and strength, the strength and direction of currents, overfalls, and fetch.
