Explore the sea lochs of the Cowal Peninsula, the spectacular Kyles of Bute and the delightful islands lying off the coast. Sail to Arran and the Crinan Canal. There is plenty of time to unwind and take in the scenery and the wildlife; each day is as action packed or as relaxed as you please. There will be lots of opportunities to sail and navigate the boat and have as much fun in the water, on the water and onshore as you like. However, if you prefer a book and a gin and tonic, or some quiet fishing, its your choice!

Typical Holiday Highlights

• Sail dramatic Loch Long where seals and otters can be seen catching fish. Nip up Loch Goil which branches off and experiment with sailing and navigating one of the smallest “Tall Ships”. Anchor off Carrick Castle for your first dinner on board and go ashore by tender for an evening stroll.

• In the morning head for the beautiful Kyles of Bute and explore the sea lochs of Riddon and Striven, watching for grey seals, marine birdlife and a wide variety of birds of prey. After dinner lay lobster pots from the boat tender

• Sail across the Sound of Bute for the Island of Arran and anchor of the idyllic and tiny Holy Island for the night.

• Head up the coast of Arran to Brodick to get your holiday gifts – there is a good variety of locally produced cheeses, beers and aromatics as well as historic buildings and good walks

• Sail to Loch Fyne and go ashore at Ardrishaig to cycle the Crinan Canal. The area is famed for bird life, home to the largest eider duck colony in the UK with porpoises, seals and basking sharks often passing by

• Call in at Tarbert, a traditional fishing village and see what is for sale on the pier. Or try your hand at fishing and cook your own catch for dinner.
