Travel to Holy Loch in the Scottish Highlands
The Scottish Highlands are nearer than you think! Our holidays departs from Holy Loch Marina, near Dunoon in Argyll on the West Coast of Scotland - only an hour from Glasgow Airport. It is very convenient to reach us by public transport, and we are happy to help with local travel information.
Boarding: Please be aware that it is not possible to board your vessel before the boarding time as the boat is still being made ready for you. Boarding time is 3.00pm. The boat normally sets off about an hour after boarding and we will not leave without you! You will disembark at 11.00am of the last day of your holiday
Getting to the St Hilda at Holy Loch Marina, near Dunoon in Argyll:
By train: from Glasgow Central Station, there are regular trains to Dunoon via Gourock where you board the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry to Dunoon.
By bus: from Buchanan Street Bus Station there are regular buses which take you to the Western Ferry for Dunoon which depart every 20 minutes
By air: it is trickier to reach us by public transport from Glasgow Airport. For this reason, we would recommend using a taxi. It will cost approximately £60.00 one way. If you choose this option, we would be happy to organise a taxi for you. If you arrive by air and wish to spend time in Glasgow, the airport bus takes 20 minutes to the City Centre where you can then catch a bus or train to Dunoon
By car: Coming from the south, Holy Loch Marina is approximately an hour from Glasgow Airport. You will cross the Clyde at Gourock on Western Ferries which depart every 20 minutes, with the trip taking 20 minutes. Visit
