St Hilda Sea Adventures
Travel
St Hilda Sea Adventures holidays departs from Holy Loch Marina, near Dunoon in Argyll on the West Coast of Scotland. It is very convenient to reach us by public transport, and we are happy to help with local travel information.

Boarding: Please be aware that it is not possible to board your vessel before the boarding time as the boat is still being made ready for you. Boarding time is 3pm. For a three night holiday the boat normally sets off about an hour after boarding and we will not leave without you! For a six night holiday, msot guests prefer to spend the first afternoon and evening settling in and literally learning the ropes - as little or as much as you want.  The boat then normally departs the marina the next morning, and setting sail if the conditions are right. You will disembark at 11am of the last day of your holiday
Getting to the St Hilda at Holy Loch Marina, near Dunoon:
By train: from Glasgow Central Station, there are regular trains to Dunoon via Gourock where you board the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry to Dunoon.
By bus: from Buchanan Street Bus Station there are regular buses which take you to the Western Ferry for Dunoon which departs every 20 minutes
By air: it is trickier to reach us by public transport from Glasgow Airport therefore a free transfer is available at 1pm on your day of boarding.  If you arrive by air and wish to spend time in Glasgow, the airport bus takes 20 minutes to the City Centre where you can then catch a bus or train to Dunoon
By car: Coming from the south, Holy Loch Marina is approximately an hour from Glasgow Airport. You will cross the Clyde at Gourock on Western Ferries. Free parking is available at Holy Loch Marina which is secured by locked gates at night.

It was wonderful to relax sipping a fine malt whisky, waiting for the fish we caught being prepared for dinner and seeing the swallows resting on St Hilda's rail.
